We are looking for someone like you.We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Administrator/ Planner to be based at our site in Kegworth on a 4 on 4 off day shift pattern.As Transport Administrator / Planner you will be based in the gatehouse and responsible for booking in all inbound and outbound loads, greeting all visitors and contractors, managing the shunters and the shunting operation. Managing and maintaining the yard management system on site and for other sites. Planning jobs, allocating work to hauliers, running reports as well as maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment for all staff. Working with a team ethos to ensure an excellent and valued service is provided to all customers’, whilst gaining trust and respectful business relationships.Pay, benefits and more:We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £26,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days.   • To have the ability to react and positively adapt to the demands of the customers in a dynamic live environment.
  • Consistency in communication with respect to planning changes and service delivery with both customers and supplier hauliers is critical and must be maintained at all times.
  • Managing and maintaining yard management systems.
  • A team player with a flexible approach to working hours, showing commitment as necessary to satisfying fluctuating business demands.
  • Ensuring effective and efficient use of the planning and yard management systems adopting best practise and general housekeeping.
  • Recognise peers strengths and weakness, offer support to achieve business and personal goals.
  • Continually look to improve the service we provide offering ideas and recommendations as necessary.
  • Proactively prevent accidents and reduce hazards by ensuring that Company Policy, Health & Safety Standards and standards of housekeeping are followed at all times across the Platform
  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by their manager from time to time.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • Experience of working with yard and planning management systems
  • Experience of transport planning in a 3PL environment is desirable.
  • Experience in using transport planning software.
  • Successful track record in communication and building relationships with customers.
