Description

A rather unique opportunity for a Transport Planner with a specialism in Transport Data Analysis has come available in Surrey with a specialist software provider of Transport Data Solutions. You will be working with the sales team to expand the expert service offering and work with the software users to ensure that it is being used and implemented correctly.

Having an expert knowledge of GIS & QGIS is essential and prior knowledge of Transport Data analysis is essential in order to give presentations, provide technical expertise to clients and source and create custom Transport Data Maps.

As a Transport Data Analysist in this role you will be the ‘go to’ expert in this software company and be a support for the internal team and customers.

Transport Data Analysist Requirements

• Two years’ plus experience of using transport planning – Experience of TRACC preferred but not essential. Experience using GIS software such as QGIS/ESRI/MapInfo etc.
• A relevant degree such as Transport/Town Planning, Geography or commercial experience as a transport planner or supporting a product through a technical role
• Experience within a pre-sales role or working directly with clients
• An outgoing personality and the confidence to engage with a broad range of clients and prospects
• An interest in the transport sector
• To be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels
• The ability to quickly build rapport and credibility with their clients and prospects
• Enthusiasm to learn about mapping software
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to confidently deliver presentations to customers and stakeholders
• Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas as required
