Logistics done differently.We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Operator for our site in Stowmarket, for our contract with AkzoNobel. We’re looking for someone to support our operation, ensuring the daily transport plan is executed safely, legally and on time. You’ll work, on the early shift, Monday to Friday 06:00 – 15:00 on a site with over 30 vehicles, that dispatches over 50 loads a day.Pay, benefits and more:We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £30,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays, as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Ensure all day loads/routes have been dispatched
• Track drivers and ensure that any risk of failures are mitigated, and maintain proactive communication with the customer
• Debrief drivers, ensuring full use of our Track & Trace IT solution
• Dispatch trunks and full truck loads on our Transport Management System, ensuring haulier partners are logged into our Track & Trace app.

• Daily interaction with the 3PL warehouse team
• Communicating to management and handing over to other shifts key information to ensure a seamless operation
• Ensure all process and procedures are followed and that we operate in a safe and efficient environment

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• It’s important you have exposure of working in a fast-paced environment – no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet
• Transport Management System experience (SHARP preferred)
• Experience of using Track & Trace to support operational decisions
• Exposure to transport compliance and regulation
