2024-07-23Full TimePermanentTransport PlannerGi Group are currently recruiting for Transport Planner on permanent bases.
Our client based in London (Hayes) delivers parcels every day to businesses throughout the country and are relied on by communities across the UK. As a Transport Planner, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all daily collections and delivery requirements are met, successfully communicate with all departments on operational issues, support the department in making sure all legal compliances are adhered to.Location: London (Hayes)
Hours: Monday – Friday Earlies (06:00-14:00) & Lates (14:00-22:00) (37.5 Hours)
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 paDuties
- An experienced person with the capability to manage and plan vehicles for Import
collections and Export deliveries from Heathrow.
- Ability to adapt and embrace change while keeping calm in a pressured time driven
environment.
- Needs to be familiar with DVSA, WTD, and UK legislation.
- To work as part of the transport team.
- To be flexible with working times and days, to be part of a shift operation.
- Needs to be able to communicate effectively at all levels, with a history of dealing with
both internal and external customers,
- Proven history in freight forwarding with the ability to demonstrate their forward thinking attitude and how to compel others to follow the same.
- Needs to be a good problem solver and enjoy the challenge.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Scheduling preferable
- Good understanding of LHR and the GHA’s that service the A/lines and their handling
requirements.
- Must have a full understanding Aviation Security regulation and ensuring compliance
at all times.
- Good knowledge of the air freight industry previous experience preferred.
- Clear communication skills (written and verbal)
- Responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety in the workplace as well as monitoring
and enforcing all safe systems of work for drivers to follow.
- Shared Mailbox Experience
- Highly Motivated with the ability to multitask.
- IT Generalist knowledge – Ideally with previous experience working with Transport
Management systems and confident using MS office programs including Outlook,
Excel and word.
- Attention to detail, customer service, administration, and financial awareness.
- 5 Year checkable work history.
- CRB check.
