The primary responsibility of the Treasury Associate/Officer, Banking Network is to establish and manage relationships with a global network of commercial and noncommercial banking institutions to maximize the efficiency of AIIB’s financial operations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Develop and manage the Bank’s banking infrastructure, which includes establishing and maintaining relationships with cash correspondent banks, custodians, and local agents, to support Treasury Operations and Investment Operations.
- Assist in enhancing the efficiency of the banking network and constantly seek innovative solutions to meet the Bank’s business needs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
- Stay updated on market and industry developments to ensure the Bank can adapt to regulatory and market changes.
- Assist in legal documentation negotiation, service fee reduction, and contract management.
- Support Treasury Operations to resolve operational issues, conduct due diligence, and perform regular service reviews.
- Support strategic projects that involve external counterparties.
- Oversight of the standard settlement instructions (SSIs) and SWIFT authenticator keys, and proper maintenance of other bank account data.
Requirements:

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree required for Associate (Master’s degree preferred); Master’s degree required for Officer.
- 3-5 years of finance experience for Associate, and minimum 5-8 years of finance experience for Officer, preferably in Multilateral Development Banks or global banks supporting Treasury operations, securities services, business implementation / change, or client service management.
- Proven track record in fostering and retaining counterparty relationships to execute the Bank’s strategy.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, transaction settlement, operational controls, and risk management.
- Ability to adapt to changing industry demands and meet the needs of internal stakeholders.
- Able to work independent and a good team player with ability to multitasks and manage competing deadlines.
- Proficiency in English, excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds.
