Introduction :

SCOPE OF TENDER 

UNDP ETHIOPIA seeks to contract a qualified and eligible firm for the treatment and/or elimination of PCB-containing or PCB-contaminated equipment and waste using either operations leading to or not leading to resource recovery, following provisions of the Stockholm and Basel Conventions, as well as the national legislation and management framework related to PCB equipment and waste  for the necessary equipment; materials, inputs and services for the environmentally sound management of PCB-containing or PCB-contaminated equipment and waste.  

The Bidder must propose using the best technology for dichlorination using a mobile plant (PCB chemical destruction), exportation (incineration, etc.), or combining both technologies, looking for the best technical and financial proposal.

The present negotiation is part of the activities under the Project “PCB Management in Ethiopia to Meet the 2025 Stockholm Convention Deadline – Phase I” (project number 5861).
