Position Overview

Camp Ramah in Canada is seeking Trippers to join our Outdoor Adventure Team for Summer 2026. Trippers play a key role in helping campers experience the outdoors — from paddling and camping to hiking, biking, and tackling our climbing wall.

We are hiring for several types of tripper roles, with all necessary training covered by camp:

  • Full-Summer Trippers: Must be WAFA and lifeguard certified.
  • Part-Time Trippers: Must be WAFA and lifeguard certified.
  • In-Camp Trippers: Must be lifeguard certified.

If you love the outdoors, working with kids, and being part of a dynamic, supportive team — this is the job for you!

Key Responsibilities

Trip Leadership and Facilitation

  • Work alongside a team of trained staff to plan and lead canoe, hiking, and camping trips across Ontario parks.
  • Teach campers outdoor skills including paddling, cooking, and setting up camp.
  • Encourage teamwork, confidence, and appreciation for nature.

In-Camp Adventure Activities

  • Support in-camp outdoor programs such as hiking, biking, and climbing wall activities.
  • Ensure safety, engagement, and fun across all adventure programs.

Safety and Preparedness

  • Maintain safety standards and respond appropriately in emergencies.
  • Conduct equipment checks and prepare gear, food, and supplies before each trip.
  • Adhere to camp, WAFA, and Lifesaving Society protocols.

Qualifications

  • Full-Summer and Part-Time Trippers: WAFA and Lifeguard certifications (camp covers all training costs).
  • In-Camp Trippers: Lifeguard certification (camp covers training cost).
  • Enthusiasm for outdoor adventure and working with children.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Responsible, adaptable, and eager to learn new skills.

Why Join Our Team

As a member of Ramah’s Tripping Team, you’ll spend your summer exploring lakes, forests, and trails while helping campers discover the joy of outdoor adventure. You’ll gain leadership experience, wilderness skills, and unforgettable memories — all within a warm and supportive Jewish community.
