Working as part of a busy team, they will have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and a collaborative working style.We are looking to recruit an individual with knowledge of the education sector to join our children’s sales team as the UK Sales Executive, Children’s Education. Tasks will include specific account management responsibilities, supporting the UK Key Account team and ownership of Bloomsbury Education administration tasks.The successful candidate will also be a contributing voice in the Education team title acquisition discussions and strategies.The UK Sales Executive, Children’s Education will report in to the UK Head of Sales, Children’s and will be based in our Bedford Square office. This will be a hybrid-working position.The role

  • Direct selling responsibilities to a selection of retailer accounts
  • Under the guidance of the Head of Sales and UK Children’s Sales Director, create and deliver annual strategic plans for owned accounts, delivering to set targets
  • Responsibility for administration support for Education titles for the UK Sales Key Account team. Including creating presentations, title nomination grids etc.
  • Be the key point of contact between the Sales and Education Editorial and M&P teams, providing title updates and regular retail/market feedback
  • Participate in the publishing process from acquisition to publication working closely with colleagues from the editorial, marketing and publicity departments. Contribute to discussions and give confident, informed opinions
  • Represent Bloomsbury Publishing at various events and conferences throughout the year
  • Liaise with Sales Operations team and distributor to ensure efficient processing of and timely delivery of customer orders and support Senior KAM in stock/reprint conversations
  • Use market knowledge to proactively seek out extra sales opportunities for Bloomsbury Education titles
  • Provide proactive support to the Head of Sales and UK Children’s Sales Director as required, including market research, data analysis, researching acquisition figures, inputting acquisition figures into Biblio, assisting with pulling reports for customer and departmental business reviews
  • Cover for Sales colleagues on an ad-hoc basis and contribute to broader UK Sales tasks

  • Experience of Biblio, Nielsen, Cognos and Vista an advantage

Additional informationThe role is a full-time permanent positionSalary Range: £29k – £35kThe role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP on a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred).
