Ultrasound Specialist_Hasansham U3

Under supervision of the Line Manager, the Ultrasound Specialist will work in the existing Health center in Hasansham U3 IDP Camps. The main duties and responsibilities are as below:

· Operate ultrasound equipment to produce and record images of various areas of the body · Interpret and analyse diagnostic images to provide preliminary findings for physicians · Maintain patient records, reports, and other administrative tasks · Monitor screen during scan to ensure that the image produced is satisfactory for diagnostic purposes · Adjust equipment controls as per the physician and Gynaecologist’s order to capture a clear image · Maintain ultrasound equipment and sterilize the room in which the procedure takes place · Determine whether scope of exam should be extended, based on findings · Consult with physicians and Gynaecologist.

Position Requirements:

– Doctor of Medicine degree and valid license to practice the profession (including registration with Kurdistan DoH), having ultrasound training with certificate from MoH for practicing Ultrasound in gynecological and obstetrical consultations.

– Essential knowledge on computer literacy (word, excel) competencies.

– Ability to work with multi – disciplinary and Multi – cultural beneficiaries.

– Ability to work as a team member.

– Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards

– Familiarity with patient management systems

– Fluency spoken and written in Arabic and English languages required. Knowledge of Kurdish language is a plus
