Mission and objectives

The WHO Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (EMRO) is one of the six regional offices of the World Health Organization (WHO). Its mission is to promote health, keep the world safe, and serve vulnerable populations in the Eastern Mediterranean region. Objectives: Strengthening Health Systems: Enhance the capacity of health systems to provide accessible, quality healthcare. Disease Control and Prevention: Implement strategies to control infectious and non-communicable diseases. Health Equity: Address health disparities and improve access to healthcare for marginalized communities. Emergency Preparedness: Improve readiness and response to health emergencies and outbreaks. Public Health Research: Support and facilitate health research to inform policy and practice.

Context

The three online volunteers consultants will be supporting the development of a web- based toolkit and identify the most appropriate platform for the toolkit under the guidance of the Project team and Information Systems and Analytics team lead. The consultant will work closely with the project team, including public health experts, business analyst and IT developers,

Task Description

The three selected volunteerswill work under the guidance of the Information Systems and Analytics Team Lead. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), and database management (SQL). Additional skills that are highly desirable including having experience in developing chatbots, integrating apps with AI solutions like Copilot Studio, ChatGPT and Perplexity for enhanced business knowledge generation and extraction. Deliverables: • Minimum viable product for the IMST IM toolkit as per the functional requirements. • Guidance for the user navigation and user stories. • Training materials for the users.
