Mission and objectives

The Frontier Tech Leaders Programme is a joint initiative of UNDP Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (ICPSD) SDG AI Lab and UN Technology Bank for Least Developed Countries and supported by the Government of Türkiye. The Frontier Tech Leaders Programme aims to raise a new generation of tech specialists to strengthen local capacities and develop digital solutions for the LDCs (Least Developed Countries) towards achieving the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Furthermore, the initiative will inspire young people as well as promote gender equality, encouraging women to pursue tech education and careers.

Context

As part of the Frontier Tech Leaders Programme, the volunteer will contribute to the programme’s technical and educational goals by creating content related to AI in Robotics and delivering a comprehensive webinar. These efforts will equip participants with the skills to understand and apply AI techniques in robotics solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Task Description

The Volunteer will be responsible for: Content Creation: Developing an instructional resource focused on the integration of AI in robotics, tailored to a webinar theme (e.g., “Enhancing Robot Autonomy with Machine Learning” or “AI-Powered Robotics for Sustainable Development”). Webinar Delivery: Conducting an engaging webinar that introduces foundational concepts, showcases practical applications, and provides a live demonstration or case study of AI in robotics. Training Material Development: Preparing supporting materials, including presentations, code samples, and project examples to support participants’ learning. Collaborative Curriculum Development: Working with programme leads to align content and webinar objectives with the overall programme goals. Participant Engagement: Encouraging active participation during the webinar through Q&A, live demos, and interactive discussions. Feedback Integration: Collecting and incorporating feedback from participants to enhance the webinar content and delivery.
