Mission and objectives

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. We work with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism. UNV is administered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and reports to the UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS Executive Board.

Context

This assignment is part of the UNV FU team in Lebanon’s efforts in tapping on available innovative tools to enhance team’s efficiency and increase productivity.

Task Description

We are looking for one online volunteer to analyze existing workflows and to recommend available online – free of charge – innovative tools (including and not limited to AI) and to train the team on using them. The online volunteer will be briefed by the Field Unit (FU) members about the nature of their work. Regular communication will be facilitated through Zoom and email to address any queries. The online volunteer is expected to deliver: – A comprehensive list of free online innovative tools, including AI solutions, tailored to improve existing workflows. – A training session for the Field Unit on effectively using these tools to enhance team productivity and efficiency. At the end of assignment, the online volunteer will be issued with a certificate of appreciation for his/her contribution.
