The Policy Programme and Intergovernmental Division (PPID) drives UN Women’s positioning as a global thought and practice leader on gender equality and women’s empowerment to deliver on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by:
PPID enables UN Women to function as a globally networked and matrixed development organization that is equipped to deliver results as part of a repositioned UN development system where they are most needed in the field, including across the Humanitarian-Development-Peace nexus in protracted crises, conflict, post-conflict, humanitarian and disaster settings.
Anchored in Agenda 2030 and in line with UN Women’s 2022-2025 Strategic Plan, UN Women has developed Gender Equality Accelerators (GEAs) as a set of key solutions to address the most pressing challenges for the realization of the human rights of women and girls and the achievement of SDG5. The GEAs are programmatic frameworks that will drive policy coherence and programmatic to ensure transformative impact at scale. They aim to support governments translate global commitments on gender equality into change in national legal frameworks, policies and plans, resource allocation and action. In addition, the GEAs demonstrate that addressing the deeply rooted gender inequality challenges requires UN Women to fully leverage our full tripartite mandate of normative support, UN system coordination, and operational activities in an integrated and mutually reinforcing manner.
Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director, PPID, the Global development results and GEA coordinator is responsible for coordinating the global implementation of GEAs, performance monitoring and reporting, knowledge management and organizational learning from the GEAs and communication of impact. The Specialist will work closely with the, Knowledge Management Specialist and other expert consultants in the Directorate to this end. The coordinator also leads enhancement of development results monitoring and reporting of UN Women Strategic Plan, in partnership with Strategic Partnerships Division (SPD), Civil Society Division (CSD) and the UN System Coordination Division (UNSCD), Strategic Planning Unit (SPU) from Strategic Planning and Resources Division (SPRED). The coordinator also leads and manage PPID’s Division level planning and reporting processes to ensure the implementation of corporate policy, procedures, guidance and systems associated with results monitoring and reporting. The coordinator also contributes to the corporate level monitoring and reporting requirements, such as the Executive Director’s Annual Report (EDAR) to the Executive Board on the implementation of UN Women Strategic Plan and data contribution to UN Women’s Transparency Portal.

4. Oversee planning, results monitoring and reporting of PPID SN and BWPs
5. Lead and manage personnel under their supervision
6. The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.
