I. Background:
UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security.
In an approach to strengthen gender strategic planning within operations of public and non-profit organizations and of partners from the private sector, the UN Women Country Office in Morocco is seeking to recruit a consultant who will conduct a scoping and budgeting exercise, aimed to support a technical partner to engage into a Gender Analysis process.
The consultant will report to the UN Women Programme Management Specialist and will be supported by the UN Women HR focal point, who will be the point of contact on contractual and payment issues.
II. Description of Responsibilities/ Scope of Work
Based on the area of intervention of the technical partner, the consultant will be responsible for developing a detailed budgeted and time-bound action plan that will support the launch and conduct of a Gender Analysis, based on an informed approach.
The detailed budgeted workplan needs to consider the following key phase/component of the Gender Analysis approach:
