Background:

UN Women Haiti is implementing its Country Strategic Note 2014–2027, which aims to achieve the following results: (i) Legitimate and accountable institutions that guarantee the rule of law, good governance, and respect for human rights; (ii) The population, especially vulnerable and marginalized groups, gains improved access to equitable, inclusive, and high-quality basic social services, with a focus on respect for human rights, gender equality, and the inclusion of persons with disabilities, thereby contributing to the strengthening of the social contract; and (iii) A new inclusive and equitable economic model, fostering new investments, growth, and sustainability, and conducive to the rapid creation of decent jobs—particularly for youth and women—capable of substantially reducing poverty and inequalities, is formulated, approved, and implemented.
The Driver provides reliable and safe driving services to the UN Women Deputy Representative and other UN officials and visitors ensuring the highest standards of discretion and integrity, sense of responsibility, and excellent knowledge of protocol and security issues. The Driver also demonstrates a client-oriented approach, courtesy, confidentiality, tact and ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
Reporting to the Program Management Specialist, the Driver can be also required to provide driving services to the operations and programme staff in the Office, consultants and experts and UN staff on mission. The Driver will provide basic administrative and clerical support to the UN Women Country Office (CO).
