JOB DESCRIPTION
Mission and objectives
UNAIDS leads and inspires the global effort to end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030, with a shared vision of zero new HIV infections, zero discrimination, and zero AIDS-related deaths. Uniting the efforts of 11 UN organizations, UNAIDS works with governments, communities, and partners at global and national levels to turn commitments into action. Country offices play a vital role in supporting national responses, ensuring no one is left behind. UNAIDS is currently developing the Global AIDS Strategy 2026–2031—a roadmap shaped by voices from around the world, including young people—to accelerate progress and sustain gains beyond 2030.
Context
UNAIDS is conducting an online survey as part of the development of the Global AIDS Strategy 2026-2031. This survey aims to gather valuable insights from a broad range of stakeholders, including communities, civil society, people living with HIV, young people, and other key actors in the HIV response. The purpose of this survey is to ensure that the new strategy is inclusive, effective, and addresses the real needs of those affected by HIV. It will also help to define global targets for 2030 and the resources required to achieve them.
Task Description
We are looking for passionate online volunteers to help promote the Global AIDS Strategy 2026–2031 survey and engage communities in shaping the future of the HIV response. Important first step: Before promoting the survey, we ask all online volunteers to complete the survey themselves. This helps you speak about it authentically and encourage others with confidence. Link to the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SJN6RXX (available in English, Russian and many other languages). Please take a screenshot of the final “Thank You” page of the survey once completed, and send it to us as confirmation of your participation. This step is required before beginning outreach activities. Your mission: Promote the survey across your social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) using creative content such as posts, stories, short videos, and graphics, using the materials https://trello.com/b/FtHg71ps/global-aids-strategy-2026-2031 Encourage others to join – reach out to friends, family, peers, teachers, community groups, and networks.
