Introduction

UNDP seeks the services of a firm/organization with substantial experience in designing, providing training on local installation, and offering a variety of fuel-efficient cooking stove solutions tailored to community needs and distinctive environmental requirements. The selected firm or organization will be responsible for training of 1500-2000 direct and   indirect beneficiaries, accounting to 500 households along with installation of  fuel-efficient cooking stoves for each household in the district. The total households in Lasbela district are 115539. On average each household per day consumption of wood is 0.7617 Maund, mounting to 0.38085 (14.21 kg) of carbon emissions. While calculating the total wood consumption of these households is 88,014 Maund per day. Hence, 1641461 kg/day (1.641 kilotons/day) approximately 599133301kg/year of carbon is released into environment per day due to the use of traditional cooking methods in the district of Lasbela. Based on the findings of baseline study, a post implementation study to assess impacts on air quality and community health needs to be conducted.
