Duties and Responsibilities
This TOR is for an individual contractor to support the design and communications efforts for the ASEAN Green Investment Collaboration (AGIC) project. The contractor will develop and execute communications strategies to effectively convey the project’s objectives, activities, and outcomes to diverse audiences. The contractor will work closely with ESCAP’s team and liaise with ESCAP’s Communication and Knowledge Management Section (CKMS) where necessary. The contractor will prepare and draft communications materials, including social media posts, opinion pieces, press releases and blog posts. The role also involves creating a communications plan and ensuring that all materials are developed in alignment with the AGIC donor requirements. Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Economic Affairs Officer, Innovation, Enterprise and Investment Section of the Trade, Investment and Innovation Division, the responsibilities are: 1. Collaborate closely with the project team and liaise with CKMS as well as communications focal point of the project donor when required. 2. Coordinate with the Economic Affairs Officer and additional staff hired for communications and design to ensure cohesive and streamlined communication efforts across all project components Develop and implement a detailed communications plan for the AGIC project 3. Draft and produce high-quality communications materials, including social media content, opinion pieces, blog posts, newsletters, and press releases, while ensuring they align with donor branding and project requirements. 4. Design visually engaging materials, such as infographics, presentations, and promotional content, to enhance the visibility and understanding of the project’s goals and achievements.
Qualifications/special skills
– Recognized advanced degree, in international business, journalism, communication studies or related field. – 1+ years of experience in communications, social media management, brand management, website maintenance, etc. – Experience in developing and implementing communications strategies for projects – Experience in creating visually engaging materials such as infographics, presentations, or promotional content – Experience in managing social media channels or developed content for digital platforms – Experience working with the United Nations and provide the daily rate you expect to charge – Experience in developing content for printed and/or digital media, such as reports, newsletters, press releases, or blog posts
Languages
Good spoken communication skills in English are required.
