What are we looking for?
An exciting opportunity is now available to join our Union Services team in the Melbourne office.
Our Union Services team provides tailored and exceptional customer service to union members by connecting them with Slater and Gordon’s various practice areas promptly and efficiently.
At Slater and Gordon, we have been providing legal services for union members for over 85 years and work closely with our affiliated union partners in providing world class legal services to their members.
In the unique role of Union Services Assistant, you will work closely with our Union Services Coordinator in all aspects of administrative assistance and union relationship support. You will also be responsible for the triage and management of all incoming legal referrals from unions on behalf of their members from across various states and jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative support to the Union Services Coordinator including event planning and execution
- Triaging and managing legal referrals from unions as per our procedures
- Liaising with members, their union and our legal teams
- Following up prospective union clients and ensuring all information is captured accurately
- Union relationship and internal stakeholder support
- Attending events (when required)
- Preparing correspondence and reports
What will you bring?
A passion for making a difference together with a strong alignment to the union movement would make you the ideal candidate for this role. We also ask that you have at least 3 years’ experience in an administration role, together with:
