Gave recommendations to how to enhance UNCCT’s Cybersecurity and New Technologies Programme’s capacity building assistance to Tajikistan / Uzbekistan on strengthening their use of new technologies for terrorist purposes.

Duties and Responsibilities
(• ) Deliver workshops on threat assessments on the use of new technologies for terrorist purposes to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan and draft recommendations for the improvement of the approaches. (• ) Deliver workshops on identification of counter-terrorism policy responses to address the threats stemming from the use of new technologies for terrorist purposes for Uzbekistan and Tajikistan and draft recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications/special skills
Advanced University Degree (Masters or equivalent) in ICT, law, criminal justice counter-terrorism or in a related area. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A minimum of 15 years of established expertise in report drafting, publications on and/or is part of a distinguished expert community in counter-terrorism, law enforcement, criminal justice or related expertise is required. Proven experience in developing counter-terrorism threat assessment, strategies and policies is required. International experience with advising and delivering capacity building assistance to national law enforcement and criminal justice authorities is required.

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required.
