The Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program (CBBEP) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Up2U Program Coordinator to join our team. The Up2U Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing and implementing the Up2U Program and supporting its expansion across the Texas coast. This position will oversee day-to-day program operations, coordinate partnerships, and ensure all project goals, deliverables, and reporting requirements are achieved. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with community partners, local governments, and nonprofit organizations to expand litter prevention initiatives, establish litter bag and pet waste distribution sites, and implement a grant program that assists small coastal communities with bulk waste disposal.
This is a full-time position, grant-funded for three years, though there is a possibility for extending the tenure contingent on project success and future grants. This position works under moderate supervision with some latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The position reports to Up2U Program Director with some oversight provided by the Executive Director.
CBBEP is looking for a team member with strong project management, partnership development, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to coordinate multiple program components simultaneously while ensuring compliance with funding requirements. Must also have excellent communication skills to engage with diverse audiences.
Applicants should be aware that job duties will require some work outside of normal business hours and on weekends. Duties may also require some occasional work outdoors that is subject to south Texas weather conditions. This position is based in Corpus Christi, but the Up2U Program serves communities along the entire Texas Coast. As a result, significant travel will be required to coordinate with partners, establish program sites, and support community implementation efforts. Travel may occur throughout coastal regions from South Texas to the Upper Texas Coast and could account for up to 50% of the Coordinator’s time. Applicant must possess a valid Texas Driver License and have reliable transportation.
