Overview of position |
Under the overall guidance of the DTM Coordinator, the technical supervision of the Project Officer & the direct supervision of the Field Operation Assistants, the successful candidate will be accountable & responsible for collecting data as part of the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) on:

Mobility: Emergency Tracking Tool – ETT, Transhumance Tracking Tool – TTT & overall Mobility Tracking – MT.
-
Registration: Manuel & biometric registration.
-
Flow Monitoring Points – FMP.
-
(4) Surveys: MSNA, solutions, intentions & perception surveys, among other tools.
S / he will work in close collaboration with the field teams & partners in the areas(s) s / he has been assigned to. S / he will perform the under listed functions not limited to below.

Role objectives |
-
Collect data & provide support to relevant partners on data collection based on the DTM methodology & tools following a pre established schedule.

Maintain high grade quality work & accountability during data collection / interviews & / or entries by ensuring integrity & credibility.

Monitor & evaluate the DTM operations in the field & identify areas of improvement & enhanced efficiency.

Triangulating collected data based on DTM methodology with relevant partners.
-
Responsible for sending information collected on the field to the Field Operation Assistant (FOA) in a timely manner & according to the standards & requirements of the DTM program.

Carry out rapid registration, other assessments & surveys where needed.

Ensure confidentiality & ethical consideration in line with the our clients data protection principles & their humanitarian principles of do no harm.

Promote effective partnership by collaborating with DTM partners in the field during data collection, including our clients staff, to achieve shared goals & optimize results.

Ensure respect, promote individual & cultural differences, encourage diversity by maintaining high ethical standards & act consistently with organizational principles / rules & standards of conduct.

Work in a composed, competent & committed manner & exercise careful judgment in meeting day to day challenges, including the flexibility to be deployed or redeployed under short notice where deemed necessary.

Key competencies |

Diploma or degree in relevant field with a minimum of two years of relevant experience for a diploma holder or a year for a degree holder.

Experience in the field of humanitarian assistance is an advantage.
-
Experience in data collection & statistics is an advantage.
-
Experience in the humanitarian field, NGO, or INGO is mandatory.
-
Demonstrated ability to maintain integrity in performing responsibilities assigned.
-
Trusted by the community, with a certain maturity in making decisions, widely accepted & respected.

Possess good leadership skills & the ability to explain instructions clearly.

Good knowledge of English, Hausa, Kanuri & other native languages where deemed necessary based on areas of deployment or redeployment.
