The Archbishop of Canterbury and the Church Society wish to appoint a Vicar/Priest-in-Charge (pending possible replacement of the vicarage) St Matthew with St Jude, Brixton

 

The Parish of Brixton, St Matthew, with St Jude is an exciting, ethnically diverse, and inclusive inner-city church in Lambeth one of London’s most dynamic and culturally rich boroughs.

We seek an energetic and open hearted priest supportive of our existing culture and liturgical tradition with the experience to:

  • provide visionary leadership to guide the parish into a new phase of growth

  • create strong relationships and networks across church and community especially with our church school, St Jude’s

  • minister with insight and compassion in matters of racial and social justice

  • and who is enthusiastic to live and work in Brixton, a place with big challenges and big opportunities.
