The Vice President for Programs, (VP-Programs), has primary responsibility for serving as the principal advisor to the President and CEO for all matters pertaining to the of Wilson Center’s regional and thematic programs. Incumbent will analyze activity across the Agency’s range of programs, with a key objective to support the program’s ability to produce industry-leading publications and events that shape and inform foreign policy debates in Washington and internationally.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Specialized Experience:
Candidates must have directly related specialized experience. This experience must be at or above the GS-15 grade level or equivalent. Your resume must reflect experience: (1) Experience providing effective leadership and supervision to subordinates; and (2) Experience leading administrative operations for an organization, that include at least two of the following:

MANDATORY Specialized Experience Qualifications (SEQs): Maximum of two pages per SEQ.
1) Demonstrated ability providing effective leadership managing/directing a team and supporting initiatives in the foreign policy arena in a multi-tiered organization.
2) Demonstrated experience providing strategic leadership and direction in planning, implementing, and evaluating short- and long-range initiatives to support the Center’s mission and cross-functional programs.
3) Demonstrated experience leading and directing management support functions within a multi-tiered organization tasked with formulating U.S. foreign policy, including strategic and operational planning.
4) Demonstrated ability to develop policies, plans, and strategic initiatives in alignment with international policies of the U.S. Government, including planning, implementation, and oversight of programs.
