This is what #LifeAtBNY is all about.We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Network L2 Support Engineer to join our Technology Services Group (TSG) – Production Services team. This role is in Manchester via hybrid in office work arrangement.In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Provide support and manage the bank network infrastructure components such as router, switches, wireless, firewalls, web proxies, load-balancers and DNS. Resolve faults and failures. Lead root cause analysis and apply necessary solutions.
  • Subject matter expert on Routing, Cisco ACI, and Cisco NDFC.
  • Implement a range of network changes, minor to major, across the BNY infrastructure.
  • Act as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for any technical type of queries.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive hands-on implementation and troubleshooting experience across network technology products. Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Experience with monitoring, diagnostic and analytics tools to troubleshoot network issues and problems.
  • Solid understanding with BGP routing protocol.
  • Solid understanding with QoS, end-to-end performance and fine tuning.
