Description:

The VP of Survivor Care in the United States is responsible for overseeing a diverse and decentralized team and implementing survivor care support within the country. The position is unique in that provides strategic leadership and develops relationships with key stakeholders in NGO’s for capacity building opportunities and also will be instrumental in developing, building and managing direct services facilities in key locations in the United States. Expectations include having strong leadership skills, is a builder of survivor care programs in the U.S., coordination and partnership building to create programs and service facilities while continually communicating objectives with the rest of the OUR Rescue team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of survivor care professionals.
  • Develop and execute a nationwide survivor care strategy aligned with the organization’s mission and values.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the Survivor Care Team, setting goals, and ensuring the effective implementation of survivor care programs.
  • Work with Survivor Care Team to develop a comprehensive survivor care strategy that promotes quality and growth in the U.S.
  • Oversee the development and enhancement of survivor care programs to meet the diverse needs of survivors in the U.S.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of survivor care services, including counseling, medical care, vocational training, and other support initiatives.
  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with survivor care organizations, NGOs, and government agencies within the U.S.
  • Foster a culture of empathy, resilience, and continuous improvement within the Survivor Care Team.
  • Ensure staff practice a survivor-informed, trauma-informed and rights-based approach when working with local partners, emphasizing the survivor-centered perspective.
  • Ensure the Survivor Care Team is utilizing assessments that will define clear objectives, identify potential risks, determine appropriate evaluation methods, and develop relevant questions and/or tasks to measure the intended purpose.
  • Collaborate with the development team to secure funding for survivor care programs through grants, donations, and partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with U.S. donors and U.S. funding organizations to ensure sustained support for survivor care initiatives.
  • Ensure survivor care services are provided legally and ethically with an understanding of liability issues.
  • Establish robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the impact of survivor care programs.
  • Regularly review and analyze program outcomes, making data-driven decisions to enhance the effectiveness of survivor care services.
  • Represent the organization in relevant forums, conferences, and collaborations related to survivor care.
  • Advocate for survivor rights and survivor care needs within the U.S. nation.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to survivor care services.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on survivor care activities for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on international guidelines and requirements for all personnel working with survivors of human trafficking within the U.S.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience related to survivor care services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge issues in the United States related to sex trafficking and a commitment to the organization’s mission.
  • Proven experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in resource mobilization and grant management.
  • Experience in building and maintaining partnerships with NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed and survivor-centered care.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to find quality resources at little to no cost for survivors.
  • Experience with database implementation and organization of database information.
  • Public speaking and presentation development skills.
  • Master’s degree in a related field.

Requirements:

  • Some night and weekend work are required.
  • Actively advocate for self-care and commit to the personal therapeutic requirement of at least twice per month.
  • Follow Survivor Care procedures for interacting with survivors.

Compensation

  • $150,000-$200,000
