Your new job

The Video/Content Producer is responsible for delivering engaging video content for both external and internal audiences across multiple channels. Working closely with Orygen’s communications and marketing team they will use storytelling to create content that cements Orygen, its research and its experts as global thought leaders in the field of youth mental health.

Reporting to the Creative Services Manager you will:

  • Produce, film and edit Orygen’s short- and long-form video content for both external and internal audiences with solid understanding on how to engage different target audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with Orygen’s communications and marketing team to explore and deliver creative, best practice social media content.
  • In collaboration with communications and marketing, storyboard, advise, produce and execute longer form narrative storytelling.
  • Work with the communications and marketing team to plan for and launch a new Orygen vodcast series that will profile Orygen, its people and its research.
  • Be proficient working directly with clients/talent, leading them in a director capacity on set as required and coordinating, scheduling and timelines with clients and external suppliers as needed.
  • Manage Orygen’s video and audio equipment including Canon C300MkII and C200 cameras with a wide range of EF lenses and various camera supports (gimbal, tripods, light and boom stands etc).

What you’ll need

You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to health and wellbeing outcomes for young people. The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as film and screen/television/media, media and communication, or related field.
  • Excellent filming, editing, colour grading and sound mixing prowess using Premier Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
  • Extensive experience operating the Canon EOS Cinema camera range or similar digital cinema cameras.
  • As the sole Video/Content Producer, be proficient filming and managing both talking head green screen interviews and external location live action shoots.
  • Highly collaborative creative thinker with a proactive mindset and approach to identifying video opportunities.

This is a full time (1.0 FTE) ongoing position, subject to funding.
