Organization Background
Collateral Repair Project (CRP) is a grassroots effort in Amman, Jordan that has provided much-needed assistance to vulnerable communities since 2006. We seek to assist those in need, foster social cohesion, offer learning opportunities, and help in building peace and reconciliation. Our services are provided regardless of background, and we currently provide assistance to people from many nationalities (e.g. Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Sudan, Yemen, Somalia).
CRP’s holistic approach involves deep community engagement, where we help individuals build resilience and heal from trauma. At our Family Resource and Community Centers, CRP provides a variety of educational, recreational, and wellness activities, which aid our community to gain skills and build community. Additionally, we provide community service and leadership opportunities for people to serve others, which has proven to be a key driver of empowerment and resilience. CRP’s greatest strengths are the deep knowledge and trust we have established with the community we serve, our commitment to community-based engagement, and our ability to develop nuanced, cost-effective, and impactful programs.

We are passionate individuals dedicated to making a difference and good listeners who typically work closely and value efficient teamwork. Our community centers are vibrant spaces where hospitality, enthusiasm, and cheerfulness are encouraged. We have made the well-being of our staff on top of our priorities and have implemented a 4-day work week for all employees at CRP. Furthermore, our centers are open 6 days a week to ensure they remain lively and accessible to the community.
Position Description
CRP’s Videographer and Photographer’s primary role is to assist in raising awareness of community needs, promoting our impact, and implementing fundraising campaigns through visual elements. Successful candidates are expected to be active learners who are willing to expand their knowledge of humanitarian work as well as community development.
The Videographer and Photographer will report directly to CRP’s Communications and Outreach Officer and is responsible for activities including, but not limited to:
- Capturing videos and photos at CRP’s community centers as well as at offsite locations to build a comprehensive collection of visual assets of all of CRP activities;
- Actively collecting data and stories from our community centers by interviewing and photographing/recording community and team members;
- Regularly producing engaging and creative short and long form multimedia content to be used for social media, web, email, and other fundraising and communications efforts;
- Preparing photos and videos based on donor requirements and CRP’s style guide;
- Maintaining online photo and video collection following CRP’s captioning and storage procedures and improve upon systems as needed; and
- Any other tasks assigned by the manager and leadership team.
Necessary Qualifications
Successful candidates must have the ability to

- Listen to, and connect with, others.
Experience
- Degree in photography, videography, or a related field or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 4 years relevant working experience.
- Previous work with refugees or other vulnerable populations is highly desirable.
- Oral and written fluency in Arabic and English.
- Familiarity with an international audience.
- Strong multimedia portfolio with a keen eye (graphic design experience a plus).
Benefits: 400-600 JD/ month depending on experience, 14 days annual vacation, 4-day work week, health insurance, daily staff lunch, hybrid schedule, flexibility and potential for growth.
