The British Embassy in Moscow is recruiting an Accommodation & Facilities Manager to support UK diplomats and their dependents in the Russia network.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role within the multi-disciplinary Estates & Facilities Management services team, overseeing the UK Embassy’s accommodation portfolio in Moscow and Ekaterinburg. This is a leadership position – leading/managing a team of experienced operational team (circa 6-7), while working closely with colleagues across technical, plumbing, electrical, engineering, corporate services disciplines, ensuring cohesive teamwork and high-quality service delivery. The candidate will lead and coordinate estates-related projects, from refurbishment to compliance upgrades, ensuring all accommodation and office facilities meet FCDO standards and health & safety regulations. Strong leadership/management project management skills will be essential to plan, execute and monitor works efficiently, while maintaining close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external contractors. Training can be offered to strong candidates without management or project experience.
The Accommodation & Facilities manager will be responsible for delivering high-quality property and facilities services to support UK-Based colleagues accommodation needs and to the wider Embassy community. The role requires strong leadership, organisational, financial and interpersonal skills, with a focus on proactive problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities will include:
- Reporting direct to the Director of Corporate Services and Estates, lead the team responsible providing residential properties for UK-Based staff, including source, leasing, with legal advice, furnishing, and property management, ensuring compliance with FCDO standards and smooth transition during arrivals and departures.
- Manage maintenance and repairs across two residential compounds and Embassy office floors, ensuring timely resolution and high service standards using platforms such as Planon and ESND EFMS Work Request systems.
- Manage budgets for rent, furniture, dilapidations, and projects, including financial forecast and utility invoice management in collaboration with finance teams.
- Liaise with UK officers, the Community Liaison Officer, landlords, contractors, and committees to assess needs and deliver effective accommodation services.
- Conduct Health & safety checks, submit reports, and implement recommendations to maintain safe and compliant living and working environments.
- Oversee contractor services such as cleaning, catering, and gardening, ensuring contract compliance, performance monitoring, and value for money.
- Support crisis response operation and contribute to annual activities such as maintenance checks and furniture auctions.

This is a full-time permanent contract, 5 working days, 35 hours net per week.
The monthly salary for this position is Rub 128,186 gross + 20% responsibilities allowance of RUB 25.637 = RUB 153,823, EO level, paid 13 times a year.
The successful candidate will be subject to professional background check and security clearance.
