Desirable:   

• Extensive experience in the same position (or similar role) with an International Organisation.

This is a full-time employment, on a fixed-term contract basis for one year, with possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will be subject to a 90-days probationary period.

The appointment is subject to satisfactory local and UK security clearances. The selected candidate must have a right to live and work in Tirana.

Normal working hours at the Embassy are Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00 and Friday 08:30-14:30.

The Embassy operates a flexible working policy that allows staff to work different hours as well as allowing staff to work from home one day a week, based on operational requirements and agreement with the line manager, and in line with FCDO and Embassy policies. The jobholder should be flexible in their approach to hours worked as these will also be dictated by operational needs and may involve working out of hours (evenings/ weekends).

The British Embassy Tirana encourages all staff to develop their capabilities, through both formal training (courses) and informal (job-shadowing, coaching, on-the-job training etc.). The majority of our formal L&D opportunities are drawn from FCDO resources. All staff are encouraged to share their skills and experience with colleagues, through informal training (‘lunch & learn’) or coaching/mentoring. All staff are eligible for 5 L&D days a year.
