Main purpose of job:
This is a key role at the heart of the College of British Diplomacy, where you will support the Communications Manager with the planning and delivery of communications and marketing campaigns to establish the College as a world-leading centre of diplomatic learning excellence.
Working as a key part of the wider College Communications Team you will play a role in the launch of the College planned for 2026 and subsequently lead on the development and delivery of internal and external communications strategies, aimed at establishing the College as a partner of choice on international learning.

This is a full-time 35-hour net per week, indefinite length of contract. Working hours are flexible and staff are entitled to time-off-in-lieu for agreed extra hours worked.
The annual leave entitlement is 25 days per year pro rata and the Embassy also enjoys a maximum of 14 Romanian / UK public holidays per year.
The monthly salary is 16,292 RON gross. In addition, staff are entitled to a 13th month salary pro rata and may receive a performance related bonus at year end. Staff also receive meal vouchers and a monthly subscription to a medical centre. An individual personal development plan will be agreed with the successful candidate, which may include training outside Romania.
The successful candidate will be subject to confirmation of a background check and security clearance, and satisfactory completion of a probationary period of 30 working days.
All applicants should have a pre-existing legal status to live and work in Romania. The British Embassy does not facilitate/sponsor visa applications and work permits. Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy are subject to terms and conditions service according to Romanian employment law.
Visa/work permit requirements: Candidates must currently hold the independent right to live and work in Romania and be prepared to ensure that right remains throughout the scope of the contract.
