We are looking for a Corporate Services Assistant to support our local Corporate Services on accurate and timely implementation of financial, procurement and protocol tasks, management of office supply inventory.

This is a part-time, permanent position. Working time is 20 hours per week (gross). This is a part time role (0.5 of full-time equivalent). Majority of the work is done in the office; part of the job is suitable for flexible working within the limits of Embassy opening hours and when business needs allow.
Embassy provides all its employees the following benefits:

We have an active L&D Committee which promotes different ways of learning, as well as offering Diplomatic Academy sessions and bringing in formal courses. Induction, on-the-job training will be provided to the successful candidate upon the start. The jobholder will have access to the wealth of learning opportunities provided by the British Civil Service. The start date mentioned in the advert is just an expected start date. The appointment can start earlier or later depending on several factors. |
The successful candidate will be subject to professional background and security clearance.
Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy in Riga are subject to terms and conditions of service that are in line with the employment laws in Latvia.
Visa/work permit requirements: Candidates must currently hold the independent right to live and work in Latvia and be prepared to ensure that right remains throughout the scope of the contract.
