Main purpose of job:
As part of the Defence Section team you will aid the Defence Adviser who represents the High Commissioner on Defence issues within the British High Commission and support military objectives within Pakistan.
Working within the Defence Section you will act as principal point of contact for all official Pakistan Military visa requests to the UK, and queries and coordination of UK run courses and as the subject matter expert on VISA related enquires of UK Mil visiting Pakistan.

You must have good judgement, good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Teams), be a reliable team player, show resilience, and be able to consistently deliver results while managing the needs of both UK and a challenging Pakistani customer base. You should be able to anticipate needs and offer practical solutions.
The job holder must have an excellent oral and written communication, organisational and self-management skills. Working with multiple partner across government, you will have the opportunity to provide corporate and policy guidance, and to offer advice and support to colleagues across all grades in the High Commission and beyond. For BHC candidates, the Country Based Staff BHC Terms & Conditions will apply.
For other than BHC candidates the basic salary will be PKR 3,08,312 per month plus Security Allowance of PKR 80,000 per month. This salary is non-negotiable.
BHC offers a great benefits package that comprises of Annual Domiciliary cover and Medical Insurance Scheme which includes PKR 1,500,000 floater coverage per family for self, one spouse/long term partner and children under the age of 19 or under 23, if in full-time education and not gainfully employed. The Annual Domiciliary cover for day-to-day medical payments is upto PKR 200,000 per family (basis actual bills submission).
Additionally, The British High Commission contributes to a retirement provision in the form of a mandatory provident fund.
