To support the operational efficiency of the department by ensuring safe, timely, and professional transportation services. This includes driving staff, visitors, and official guests, as well as transporting documents and goods as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide secure and punctual transportation for staff and official visitors.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure regular servicing and inspections.
- Assist with logistical tasks such as delivery of documents, parcels, and equipment.
- Support event logistics, including setup and transportation of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance.
Main Objectives:
- Ensure safe and efficient transportation aligned with organizational standards.
- Support the wider team in achieving operational goals.
- Represent the organization professionally when interacting with external stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Provide transport for BHC staff (60%): you will drive staff and visitors to venues as recommended by the Transport Manager, this includes field visits, meetings attendance, receptions etc. Deliver mail to external partners.
2. Monitor vehicles roadworthiness and ensure maintenance/service is carried out when needed (20%): you will check vehicles daily, report any mechanic issue that needs repair/fix as soon as possible to ensure they are roadworthy.
3. Assist the transport Manager with administrative tasks (20%): you will update various data sheets related to transport reports, this includes but no limited to transport KPIs, fuel efficiency, draft official letters related to protocol as instructed by the Transport Manager.

- Must hold a driving licence with categories B&D
- Minimum 5 Years of Professional Driving Experience – preferably in an international organisation, embassy, or similar setting.
- Basic Vehicle Maintenance Skills – ability to conduct routine checks and report faults promptly.
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills Skills – ability to interact professionally with staff, visitors, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English and Kinyarwanda – both spoken and written, to ensure effective communication and understanding of instructions.
