Drivers are mainly responsible for the Embassy vehicle fleet. They drive staff on official trips in a safely and timely manner around the city of Kinshasa and occasionally to neighbor provinces, making sure traffic laws are always adhered to.
They perform daily vehicle checks to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy for their own and their passengers’ safety and security. The Transport team is part of the Corporate Services team.

- Driving British Embassy vehicles within Kinshasa with many airport trips in armored vehicles, and occasional trips to neighbor provinces. This includes mail distribution (60%)
- Carry out daily POWER (Petrol, Oil, Water, Electric & Rubber) checks on vehicles to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness. Fill related forms and report faults (20%)
- Keep assigned vehicles interior and exterior clean and tidy (10%)
- Ensure vehicle preventive maintenance programs are followed and report any vehicle faults to the Transport Manager and the mechanic as soon as possible. (5%)
- Other admin tasks (5%)

- 5 years minimum driving experience
