Abatement of Salary:
Country based staff are expected to comply with local tax regulations. Where that is not possible it is FCDO policy to deduct an appropriate amount to ensure they have a comparable take – home salary to colleagues with similar personal circumstances. Please note that abatement of salary is not applicable where CBS earn less than the minimum threshold for local income tax.
Learning and Development Opportunities:
We are a strong supporter of continuous personal and professional development. The successful candidate will be fully supported and inducted into the role. We offer a variety of L&D opportunities to help staff improve their skills and capabilities and provide time and support to enable them to take advantage of such activities. Staff can also access a dedicated L&D budget which empowers individuals to bid for funding to address specific training needs.
