Main Purpose of Job:
This is an exciting and fast-paced opportunity for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual to lead the Marketing and Communications function for the UK’s Department for Business and Trade in Hong Kong.
We are seeking a candidate who can contribute to the team’s trade and investment ambitions by designing and executing strategic marketing and communications campaigns. With the support of a team member and as part of the broader Marketing and Communications function, you will play a key role in enhancing the reputation of the UK Government, while promoting the UK as a first-class destination for inward investment and an export powerhouse in Hong Kong.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with prominent UK and Hong Kong-based companies and organizations at both senior and operational levels. You will also have the autonomy to develop creative and innovative marketing and communications strategies.

Our Offer:
The jobholder may be required to travel, and any travel would be monitored in line with COVID-19 situation. Some work (including travel) will be required during the evenings and occasionally weekends, for which time off in lieu (where applicable) will be given.
The British Consulate-General Hong Kong offers a generous leave package of 25 days annual leave (rising to 30 days after 5 years of service) on top of 14 days of public holidays, plus additional time off for volunteering in the community and learning and development.

Security considerations however mean we are unable to support the provision of IT for hybrid working. This position is open to Hong Kong citizens, permanent residents, and partners/dependents of UK-based diplomatic staff currently posted in Hong Kong. Employment offers are subject to successful clearance of pre-employment checks. No accommodation or relocation expenses are payable in connection with this position. Candidates must have or be able to obtain work authorisation for Hong Kong in order to apply.
