The British Embassy in Israel is part of a worldwide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and has an exciting opportunity for an Operations & Events Coordinator under the UK Israel Tech Hub (UKITH).
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly-motivated individual to join and support the innovative UK Israel Tech Hub (UKITH) at the British Embassy Tel Aviv. The UKITH is a high-profile initiative aimed at developing new methods of economic diplomacy; driving growth by facilitating tech partnerships, directing Israeli start-ups to validate and develop technologies with the UK market.
The Operations and Events Coordinator will support the UKTIH’s operations management including events and activities on cross team projects, organisational software management (i.e. website, CRM), project monitoring and evaluation, and daily office management.

The Operations and Events Coordinator will report directly to the Deputy Director UKITH.
Duties and responsibilities:
Events & Activity Management
- Manage operations and logistical production of UKITH events and activities such as delegations, workshops, webinars and receptions – including venue hire, hotel bookings, tech support, producing comms materials, etc.
- Support cross-Embassy activity such as visits and events including managing guest lists, onsite support at events, preparing materials for guests.
- Provide budget management support of events and activities – track and report on financial activity and ensure timely incomes and expenditures
Operational Management
- Manage UKITH’s IT systems database, CRM and file-sharing systems
- Monitor and update UKITH website
- Monitor & Evaluate activity including – pre-post event surveys, activity reporting and conclusions, tracking metrics, and producing the annual report
- Lead on cross-team training / learning & development activities
- Cross-team procurement lead
- Play a key role in producing and distribution of UKITH public communications including newsletters and annual reports
The above list is not exhaustive, and the jobholder will be required to be flexible and take on other ad hoc tasks as required, including participating in the Embassy’s emergency planning and any other response to a crisis affecting UK Citizens.

- Fluent English (written and spoken); Hebrew (professional proficiency).
- 1+ years of experience in organising events or complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in office management.
- Experience in procurement and budget / forecasting.
- Proven high level organisational and administrative skills, including great attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills including Office, Google suite, wordpress, CRM, and project management, and AI tools.
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills as well as ability to work with senior personnel.

Eligibility:
If you are selected for this position, we will be able to employ you as long as you:
- Receive the appropriate level of security clearance; and
- Are able to work legally in Israel.
Working hours and remuneration:
The Embassy aims to offer an attractive working environment and remuneration package for this role, including a non-negotiable salary of ILS 12,600 per month plus transport allowance and social benefits as required by the law.
No accommodation nor relocation expenses are payable in connection with this position. Parking facilities are not provided nor paid for by the Embassy.
This position is for a full-time employment, on a permanent contract, subject to a 4-month probationary period.
Working hours is 37.5 per week. Normal working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:00-16:00 and Friday 8:00-13:30. This is a hybrid position with a minimum of twice a week from the office, based on operational requirements. Flexibility will be required for working out of hours.
Any flexible working patterns may be considered based on operational requirements and agreement with the line manager, and in line with FCDO and Embassy policies.

Process:
The recruitment process, including security clearance, is expected to take around two-three months. The security clearance process includes checks available in country and with UK, dependant on the security level required for the role and the candidates’ profile and UK footprint. Appointable candidates who were unsuccessful at interview may be placed on a ‘reserve list’. If during the reserve period of six (6) months the same or a largely similar role becomes available, that role may be offered to the second or subsequent candidate.
