Main purpose of job:

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is the UK government department responsible for promoting and financing international trade and development, and championing free trade. Working with the Infrastructure & Energy managers you will be responsible for assisting our trade promotion efforts for British and Brazilian companies, aiming at increasing UK exports and supporting inward and outward investment.  This is an ideal position for someone with the ability to work collaboratively with an international team. The job will require the successful candidate to take responsibility for delivering both quickly and to a high standard.

  • Support official visits both in the UK and in Brazil, including supporting colleagues to build programmes;
  • Identify and contact prospective UK suppliers for commercial opportunities;
  • Maintain an updated contact database and ensure impact and interactions are recorded on DBT’s database.

The position will suit an energetic team player who is motivated and a self-starter with an interest in the commercial sector. It will require a positive and proactive attitude that thinks in terms of unlocking opportunities for UK companies in Brazil.
