An Overview:
The National Crime Agency leads the UK’s fight to cut serious and organised crime, protecting the public by targeting and pursuing those criminals who pose the greatest risk to the UK. The NCA is a global organisation with liaison officers based in over 40 countries around the world, as well as operating across our UK hubs in London, Warrington, Birmingham and Bristol. The Paris NCA team are now looking for an International Liaison Support Officer to join the team.
The National Crime Agency team in Paris work closely with a range of French law enforcement partners to jointly tackle serious and organised matters affecting the UK, its citizens, and its interests. This includes, but is not limited to, the following crime threats: drug trafficking; firearms trafficking; money laundering; cybercrime; bribery and corruption; modern slavery and human trafficking; child sexual exploitation and abuse; and organised immigration crime. The team also work closely with the joint UK/France office based in the north of France as well as NCA colleagues in the UK and in the wider Europe region.
The NCA Paris Team currently comprises seven International Liaison Officers, three support staff, plus a Regional Manager. The support team member will be responsible for carrying out a range of duties and support to ILOs to deliver France-specific and organisational objectives which may involve occasional travel to northern France.

This is a full-time permanent position of 35 hours per week.
All appointments are subject to professional background check and obtaining satisfactory security clearance- please be aware that this can take several months. The successful applicant will be required to provide a copy of his/her passport or national identity card for all nationalities held, an up-to-date criminal record (casier judiciaire) for recent countries of residence (which can be obtained online at https://www.cjn.justice.gouv.fr/cjn/b3/eje20), two written proofs of address (utility invoices and/or bank statements) and two references.
Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy in France are subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local French employment law and FCDO guidance for Country Based Staff. The posts we offer are not an entry point into the UK’s Diplomatic Service.
Visa/work permit requirements: Candidates must currently hold the independent right to live and work in France and be prepared to ensure that right remains throughout the scope of the contract.
