Main purpose of job:
To be the main point of contact between the Regional Corporate Service Centre and Micro Missions. Delivering high standards of customer service and supporting Head of Missions, Deputy Heads of Mission, and Office Managers to comply with financial guidance and Purchase-to-Pay policies, and supporting the Finance Hub Team in generating financial reports across all directorates for monthly overseas KPR.
This role will be joining our dynamic team at the Finance Hub Manila and will be directly reporting to the Regional Finance Hub Account Manager (EO).
As Regional Finance Hub Account Officer, you will handle these tasks:
- Act as the main point of contact for all Micro Missions on procure to pay (P2P) issues
- Raise requisitions and submit invoices to the GTPC Invoicing Team on behalf of the Micro Missions
- Ensure accuracy when raising requisitions and ensure invoices are submitted and processed timely
- Prepare and maintain accurate and timely reconciliation of invoice status report and send out regular invoice status to the Office Managers
- Support the EO line manager on the regular update the Office Managers and Head of Missions of any substantial changes to the finance policies.
- Hold regular catch-up calls with the Micro Missions to discuss what works well and address any areas for improvement with the support of the EO line manager.
- Discuss and agree with the EO any corrective and preventative action plan on errors or incidents.
- Flag and discuss any errors or incidents to the Office Managers at the approval of the EO
- Adhoc tasks that may be assigned as required.
Cash Management
- Support Micro Missions with banking requirements if they wish to open a bank account [subject to outcome of pilot]
- Monitor and analyze company cash position to cover cash commitments and cash forecasting
Housekeeping - Regularly update the Micro Mission guidance document and other Micro Mission forms.
Training
- Support the EO line manager in providing short trainings or process briefing as needed.

- Solid experience in Budgeting and Forecasting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Understands the value of teamwork
- Sound financial background
- IT literate to an advance level specifically on MS Excel
- Good knowledge of accounting operations or P2P process

- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting/business or related field
- Finance experience is an advantage. The position requires P&L, balance sheet and cash flow knowledge and accounting understanding. Strong analytical skill a must.
- Strong planning, time-management, and organizational skills
- Must be self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment;
- Self-motivated with good ability to work in a team, either as a leader or collaborator; have ability to work with minimal oversight.
- Highly detailed oriented with ability to manage large volumes of data;
- Ability to deal with complex and diverse information, gathering and working with data from different sources and using different formats
- Experience with ERP’s (Oracle specifically and strong working knowledge of MS Excel(pivot tables, macros, and modeling)

Working Patterns:

Employment offers are subject to successful clearance of pre-employment checks. Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy Manila is subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local Philippine employment law.

All candidates must be legally able to work and reside in the country of the vacancy with the correct visa/work permit status or demonstrate eligibility to obtain the relevant permit. Employees who are not liable to pay local income tax on their Mission salary may have their salaries reduced by the equivalent local income tax amount.
