Main Purpose of Job:
Trade and Investment is at the very heart of HMG policy. The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) helps British businesses to export and support inward and outward investment.
The British Embassy Manila is at the forefront of promoting bilateral trade and investment between the United Kingdom and the Philippines. As part of our dynamic team, the trade intern will have the opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of UK-Philippine relations, specifically focusing on the technology, healthcare and infrastructure sectors as well as Market Access and Trade Policy but will be able to support wider sector portfolio of DBT Manila . The trade intern position is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a diplomatic setting while actively supporting initiatives such as London Tech Week, the King’s Birthday Party, Indo Pacific Roadshow among others.
We are looking for two Trade Interns each reporting directly to the Trade Manager for Technology and Strategic Communications and Market Access and Trade Policy respectively.

Employees who are not liable to pay local income tax on their Mission salary may have their salaries reduced by the equivalent local income tax amount.
