Main purpose of job: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing wide ranging office management and administrative support to the National Crime Agency (NCA) Team at British High Commission in Dar Es Salaam. The role provides an opportunity to work in a fast paced role supporting a high profile foreign policy priority by helping tackle Serious and Organised Crime in Tanzania and the East Africa Region. The successful candidate will be working with a wide range of colleagues across the crime and justice sector within the British High Commission in Tanzania, UK and Tanzanian Government Departments, and other Foreign Missions in Tanzania. |

Learning and development opportunities: The job holder will have the opportunity to undertake training associated with their role in line with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office provisions. The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office offers all its employees the opportunity to pursue a City and Guilds Diploma through the Diplomatic Academy. The Regional Learning and Development Team visit Tanzania regularly. |
Working patterns: Full Time, Monday – Thursday 07:00 – 16:00, Friday 07:00 – 13:00, Hours per week – 36.25h (exclusive of lunch break) The NCA are 24/7 Organisation and the successful applicant will be expected to be flexible with their working hours when required to facilitate training courses or attend conferences. There are options for working from home on specific days of the week in line with Operational requirements. |
Any other information (or specific local Post requirements): Holder of UK, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand passport only. The applicant must have a permit to work in Tanzania; s/he cannot be a dual Tanzanian national. The applicant has to be able to acquire and maintain a SC clearance. The applicant will also be required to have enhanced vetting checks that will allow access to NCA systems. Any previous security clearances from the above mentioned five countries are an advantage. |
