Main Purpose of Job:
Provide administrative support to the political, projects and communications team in the British High Commission.
What the Jobholder will be Expected to Achieve:
Provide administrative support to the political, projects and communications team including:
- Booking appointments for BHC staff and visitors
- Making travel arrangements, including flight bookings for BHC staff and visitors
- Drafting of visit programmes
- Drafting diplomatic notes and arranging for their delivery
- Managing contacts database
- Assisting with BHC events
- Other clerical and administrative tasks as directed

Experience of administrative or clerical work
Language Requirements:
- English, Tok Pisin
- Level of language required: Fluent

This role is advertised as a 2-year fixed term contract, with possibility of renewal.

The successful candidate must have or be able to obtain Work Authorisation for Papua New Guinea and valid Police Clearance Certificate. Any offer of employment will be subject to the candidate achieving suitable clearances.

The successful applicant will have access to a full range of online training to support them in their work, and the opportunity to attend specialised IT and estates management training.
