Who are we? The British Embassy in Ankara is part of a world-wide network representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas, and is now looking for a Policy and Programme Manager. The British Embassy’s Development Section is part of an Embassy that oversees a 7-post country network of over 300 staff, including the Consulate in Istanbul and 5 small coastal posts; and hosts more than a dozen different government departments. We are a small high-performing team focused on results and impact through our work. Main purpose of job: This is a rewarding and challenging role helping to deliver the UK’s new humanitarian and development programme. You will support on policy engagement and programme management of the development programme working closely with the senior programme manager, technical advisers, delivery partners and broader stakeholders including government counterparts.

This is a full-time, permanent position, for 5 working days (36.25 hours net), per week.
The monthly salary for this position is $3,800.00 USD gross, paid in 12 instalments, HEO level. Please note that staff members are responsible for paying any income tax required by local law.
All applicants should have the right to live and work in Turkey. The British Embassy does not sponsor work permits.

The successful candidate will be subject to professional background check, security clearance and a probation period of 2 months.
