Skills:

• Motion graphics, animation, or advanced editing techniques
• Portrait photography, event photography with professional lighting techniques
• Understanding of digital audience research methodologies and segmentation
• Familiarity with generative AI tools for content ideation or production

Experience:

• Working in government, diplomatic missions, or international organisations
• Developing or contributing to digital communications strategies
• Supporting communications for ministerial visits, VIP events, or major campaigns
• Experience tailoring content for audiences in Southeast Asia

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, media, journalism, or related field
• Relevant qualifications in digital marketing, video production or social media

Working patterns:

Normal working hours are 37.5 per week: 8:30AM to 5:00PM from Monday to Friday. The team operates a ‘core hours’ policy of 10:30AM to 2:30PM with individual flexibility around that.

Terms of service:

The preferred candidate will have a creative and innovative approach to digital storytelling, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines. You will be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. You will be a collaborative team player.  An understanding of UK-Singapore bilateral relations would be advantageous, as would knowledge of Singapore’s media landscape and digital ecosystem.

• Staff recruited locally by the British High Commission are subject to terms and conditions of service according to local Singapore employment law.
