Through interactive discussions and scenarios, attendees will learn how to communicate the concept of consent effectively with children. Participants will also receive practical tips to share with children when teaching them about consent.
    • Bystander Intervention: Introducing the concept of bystander approaches with the goal of empowering individuals to intervene safely when witnessing instances of intimate partner violence and/or violence against women and children, tailored to fit the Iraqi context. Given the sensitivity of this approach and in accordance with do no harm principles, survivor and bystander safety should be prioritized when designing the training. The approach has to be tweaked to ensure safety, and the focus should be on safe referrals as a form of intervention, fostering a community-wide commitment to prevention.
    • Caring for Child Survivors: Providing case workers with essential skills for the effective and sensitive care of child survivors of sexual abuse.
