The Marine Science Program at Eckerd College invites applications for a one-year, non-tenure-track appointment to start September 2024. A Ph.D. in Oceanography, Marine Science, or related field is required. We seek an expert in marine invertebrate biology with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. The teaching load will consist of seven courses in a 3-1-3 format, including a short Winter Term course during January. Eckerd College, the only independent national liberal arts college in Florida, has a tradition of innovative education and teaching/mentoring excellence. The primary teaching responsibility is for the 200-level Marine Invertebrate Biology course, typically taught to juniors. Additional teaching responsibilities may include contribution to our introductory-level course in Biological Oceanography. Employment will require a successful background check.
