Visiting Professor Position in Physics

​The Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP) at School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Nanyang Technological University Singapore invites applications for position at the rank of Visiting Professor in Physics. We are looking for candidates holding a Ph.D. degree in physics or a closely related area.

The Visiting Professor will collaborate with PAP colleagues to work in the area of nanophotonics, especially in Deeply Subwavelength Superoscillatory Imaging (DSSI), including the fabrication and characterization of nanometer sized feathers, generating diffraction images. Using both experimental results and simulated images as training data, obtain optical images with picometer resolution via deep learning. He/she will get involved with collaborated research in the programme level (NRF-CRP) with PAP colleagues, as well as explore collaborations with colleagues from other Schools within NTU.

The candidate should have at least 15 years of experience in cutting edge nano-photonics, plasmonics, especially in superoscillatory imaging technologies, as well as expertise in AI and deep learning . He/she should be also able to fabricate photonic devices using electron-beam lithography and focus ion beam. He/she should have demonstrated an ability to obtain external grants, plus regularly publish in top-tier journals such as the Nature and Science family of journals.
