VP – Management Accounting – Business Reporting/Chief Operating OfficeWe are looking for a VP to join our Banking COO Business Reporting team in London.The VP of Business Reporting within the Banking COO team will produce Management Accounting reports including forecasting and budgeting for the Banking CIB . This role will also support Deputy Head of Banking COO & Head of Business Reporting for re-modelling of the current legacy processes to new centralised model. This role plays a critical part in providing management information to support business performance, KPI tracking, business development and decision making as well as creating a defined reporting flow.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerformance Monitoring & Business Insights:
- Working with the Director and wider team develop and manage a comprehensive management accounting reporting aligned with the bank’s business strategy and operational goals.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of regular and ad-hoc management reports, highlighting key business trends.
Process Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes by identifying opportunities to automate, standardize, and optimize reporting workflows.
- Stay current with industry trends in data analytics, BI tools, and technology to enhance the bank’s reporting capabilities.
- Support transformation projects aimed at enhancing data visualization, real-time reporting, and the overall reporting function.
Data Governance:
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and work closely with the CSO, COO Analytics and Finance teams to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent reporting that meets all relevant standards.
- Maintain a strong understanding of regulatory and policy changes and ensure reporting systems adapt accordingly.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in business reporting, data analytics, or financial analysis, ideally within the banking or financial services sector.
- Proven ability to work with large datasets and complex reporting systems, with hands-on experience in data analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights
- Strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and financial metrics.
- Experience in driving reporting automation, process improvements, and the implementation of business intelligence tools.
- Language skills are an asset, but not essential
